It was NOT Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. filing the lawsuit. Coomer is more than capable of purging all of his personal hard drives to demonstrate no personal link to the malpractice that occurred within the company during the election, and it invokes reasonable grounds to bar inquiry into the company itself. "Discovery" would be limited to what remains of his personal archives, and not those of the company itself.
With a biased judge, it's a "break even" case that would be impeded every step of the way by a leftist Colorado judge. It is exclusively an effort by Coomer to escape from responsibility and all assistance provided to this enemy combatant could be considered "comfort."
Coomer will lose that suit. But yeah that one will not be decided for months. They don't need discovery on Coomer though, Trump will declass anything needed for that case.
Actually Coomer himself filed a defamation lawsuit: https://ewscripps.brightspotcdn.com/e6/e7/b623bd21457885322742edaf273d/2020-12-22-14-01-43-complaint-20201222.pdf
