I am now wondering if this was "planned" between Pence and Trump. Pence did what he was supposed to do at this moment in time. Trump has mentioned this a lot the past several days.

If so, a huge sacrifice by Pence. Those that liked him don't anymore, and the other side hated him anyway and will not soften for this.
