If you weren't at the capitol but just watching on stream, you might be familiar with this guy as well. He was on that stanchion to the right, holding a megaphone. From the moment I arrived at the capitol building, he was already up there holding this megaphone. The entire time he's shouting, CHARGE FORWARD, COME ON, MOVE FORWARD.
Now, I do know some of our people wanted that kind of aggressive approach. I know for a fact that not everyone who did indeed 'charge' was Antifa alone. But something about that guy struck me wrong.
One particular thing I remember is him yelling, OUR PEOPLE JUST GOT INSIDE, OUR PEOPLE ARE INSIDE THE CAPITOL. He was trying to get us all to charge into the capitol. Thankfully (imo), his words didn't really move the crowd at all. He probably caused a little more aggression, but frankly the very large majority of us weren't getting riled up by him.
Sorry this doesn't entirely fit in the Q forum, but any new post on TDW is immediately rammed to the bottom of the "new" pile beneath a million dooming posts.
Was he the one in the flatcap who had ZERO Trump gear on at all?? Glowie for sure.
Yeah maybe you're right. In the moment I felt like those guys were brave soldiers and I marveled at their courage. In retrospect though I felt like they were trying to push people to committing crimes and give the event a bad reputation. I didn't really understand the plan of having people "charge the capitol. They were starting in with that from the moment we arrived. The legal process hadn't had a chance to play out yet. It wasn't 100% known that Pence would refuse to challenge the electors. So why were they already telling us to charge in from moment 1?
I was there earlier than you as I missed Trump speaking. I was with my group trying to find the bathroom and getting trapped in the port-o-potty crowd, it was INSANE. So then we walked to the Ronald Reagan building to use the bathroom. When we left the crowd was marching towards the capitol and we joined in. I know Trump's speech was still happening because it was playing on peoples phones. It felt like damn movie man, I'm walking down the street with thousands of people, singing the national anthem, people are cheating Fuck Antifa, and then you hear Trump's words coming through peoples phones. Surreal.
