To be clear, I think the obvious answer is Pence betrayed us. But I also realized something. How bizarre was it that so many Senators suddenly stopped caring about voter fraud and objecting once it became clear that Pence had sold out President Trump? I imagine they hadn't seen his statement yet because they were in session and the statement dropped right as they got started, right? After the Capitol incident, which caused a recess and allowed them to find out what's going on, suddenly they all seem to have a change of heart. I think once they realized Pence was selling out Trump they realized they could also turn their back on him as well.

So I guess what I'm saying is, was it coincidence that Pence put out his statement when he did? Could it be intentional as a way to expose those that would sell out Trump the moment they saw the Pence's knife go into his back? The other advantage of this is that if they believe Pence is "their guy" then they let their guard down.

Again, I think the sad reality and more likely scenario is that Pence didn't have the courage and sold us out. But I still find it odd that if Pence truly is Judas, why not invoke the 25th amendment and complete the mutiny? Why did he refuse to take Pelosi's call today?
