Taos, NM (about 2.5 hours north, an hour north of Santa Fe) is one of my favorite little places in the world. Yes, it's fully of hippies and weirdos, but that's part of the charm. They're the harmless type, anyway.

ABQ is pretty nice, for a place almost no one remembers about.
