And perhaps why the speech felt so off. "Stalling" is a fitting word for those who knew the content. He kept saying he'd get to something bigger (trying to keep people there and paying attention)

I said at the time, too, that it seemed a little strange because President Trump wasn't really saying anything new to those who have been following; just a very detailed recital. delayed start. stretched out content. I agree with "stalling" appearance.
