I applaud you for going dowm these logical paths. I have done the same. It is good to be skeptical, but if true they would have created a massive army of patriots that will fight against them. It doesnt make sense to empower your enemy with information and unite them against you.

I am glad you are thinking about this, but think further and you will see it doesnt pass the logic test.
