It's also a signal for the Purple Color Revolution which is the Color Revolution going on in the US. (Remember when Hillary came out wearing purple, and Bill had matching purple tie when she finally addressed the public the day after the 2016 election? The all started wearing that color after that, probably signalling to each other it is on.
