If you want an easy way to avoid Google related services just try Brave.
Made by the creator of JavaScript and one of the founders of the original Firefox before they sold out their soul
Brave has the positive stuff of Chromium which is speed and compatibility (something which Firefox lacks) while stripping away Google integrated services.
Nothing is perfect of course but its a start and an easy one to be honest. Then there is Ungoogled Chromium but Brave is the middle ground at least for starters.
Even when it comes to syncing your bookmarks etc you do not create an account but the passcode is ~16 words like its a bitcoin wallet or some shit.
Started using Brave maybe 6-8 months ago, and haven't looked back since. I also find it's built in ad-block to be amazing! It even has little notes on the new tab page that tell you how much bandwidth and time you've saved by blocking ads and trackers.
Then there's also the feature of opening a new tab in Private with TOR. Not quite as secure as the TOR bundle on it's own, or booting up tails or something, but beats normal private mode by using the TOR network.
Yes, but still maintained by google and known inside and out by google engineers and has custom code injection built into the everyday compilers we use.
Fine - yes i downloaded that one. Still pissed. And I still use safari mostly because of passwords stuff and despite apples shit they are still better than android and google.
Its fucking sad man.
Thx for brave suggestion - guess Ill drop Firefox for brave. They have privacy in their mission statement - so I guess that’s good enough for me.
It's built on Chromium which is open source, safe and good. What makes Chrome bad is this the proprietary stuff they put on top of chromium. Chromium itself is fine. Since it's open source no one can put anything bad into it without it getting noticed by someone else.
Duck Duck Go is my homeboy
True, not good guys, but not Goolag. They track you less/none, so they are a bit better.
Hey, sometimes you need a search engine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So we cannot use anything anymore. I don't want to use chrome for spying reasons so Ill stick with FF for now...
Changed all my apps and search engine today. What a pain in the ass but i had a freedom bone the whole time I was doing it!!
What did you change to for everything? Looking to do the same.

Same here... Nord VPN did a study saying it was the best and most secure mainstream browser.
I am now looking for alternatives, but finding problems with Brave also, so still not sure what to switch to.
Yeah, Opera was bought by the chinese a while back...
Microsoft Edge is not very good either...
Anyway, I switched to Brave - moved all of my bookmarks, etc.
Brave is working really well so far...
Anybody have thoughts on opera, Microsoft edge?
Opera is now Chinese owned.
Edge is now Chromium based...
Brave browser s the most secure.
Well chrome spies on everything so naturally firefox was a good alternative. Brave is better but has some compatibility issues with a lot of sites
Brave is built on top of chrome.
on top of the chromium engine specifically which is under the hood of Chrome but not specifically, Chrome.
Best,
Toofy ?

People who want niche plug-ins. Mozilla is has been running with the gas indicator on E for a long time.
What you on about... it’s the best one - rest are even more fucking full of shit... look at my comment above...
Everywhere you turn - these cunts are in bed together.
