Why wouldn't the media, government and/or intelligence agencies reveal Q's identity and expose the fraud? They have the resources to do this, nobody is truly anonymous on the internet.

It would also serve the purpose of demoralizing the entire movement at a crucial time and they could argue that it was necessary for national security purposes.
