I should have went today. Waiting to see if I can file uc yet. Before I spend what's left of stimulus on insurance and internet bill. I've hit a lot of food drives. Lots of canned and dry goods. Killing me w fish. I hate it.....but never let food go to waste.
I just had supper a while ago from a box of supplies that came with a letter from Trump inside. Supper was free, except for my beverage.
Fixed income sucks, but I still stocked up. For example, I never ran out of toilet paper last year. I can sit in my house a month or two at least. People need to get in the habit of buying just a little bit extra each week to put away, even if they have to eat less. Most of us could stand to lose a few pounds.
I love those boxes! Frozen eggs....mozzarella sour cream..I made the best Chicken Parmigiana from those!
Agreed we will have food, not the ritz..but we wont starve.
Mine had a sack of potatoes, a sack of onions, a couple packages of American processed sliced cheese, a package of smoked sausage, a gallon of lowfat milk, a tiny round watermelon, and some kind of drinkable yogurt mess. I can't remember if there was anything else. But supper was good, and there'll be leftovers tomorrow.
If Lin wood is right. a complete blackout is coming. Have 10-12 days of food and water and batteries.
Will people wake up when they see that the political leaders made sure they are okay while everybody else is in a 3rd world situation.
