..or enabling auto updates. It's apparently important to really drill this into everyone's noggin..... :)

Is there a way to make sure it does not? Mine always asked me in the past but on election nite it automatically updated itself, which I’d been avoiding for a while. I have no doubt it was something sinister.

Make sure wifi is not connected and: General>Software Update>Automatic Update- set to off
