The presence of tunnels in this geographic area ("The Tidewater") would be unusual due to the high water table and proximity to Chesapeake Bay/James River/Atlantic Ocean and would be hard to keep dry from groundwater seepage. I doubt that these are the typical tunnels one normally thinks of. "Steam tunnels" seem to imply an underground utility conduit of some sort, but whatever they are, they're not the type people usually think of.

I don't believe that nukes or thermite were used. Check out the research on this by Dr. Judy Wood which is seriously compelling. Her credentials are impeccable. She purports that advanced directed energy weaponry (possibly space-based) was used to harvest free energy to generate a plasma vortex with incredible precision to "dustify" the buildings. One tell-tale bit of evidence was all of the jumpers who had stripped off their clothing because the directed energy was boiling them from the inside. There was stormy weather nearby with a lot of lightning at the time the building took a hit. Likewise, there was a hurricane offshore which nobody seemed to mention. Lastly, the cover-up on this was enormous...many of the well-known so-called conspiracy theorists and "patriots" claiming it was an "inside job" etc. are actually controlled opposition disinformation agents.
