Can anyone with experience give an EDUCATED opinion idea as to how traffic today & yesterday compares to more "normal" times?
i.e; 6 months ago; what was MIL air traffic like?
If I'm reading the ADSBEXCHANGE site correctly, it looks like there are almost 230 US Military aircraft in the air right now; is that normal for mid-morning on a monday?
I'm currently tracking 444 in the US alone. The short answer is no. This is not normal. Days fluctuate, 100-200. This is double that. Keep in mind, this is just the ones we can see. Also be aware there are a lot of training a/c airborne as well. Its a public perception thing. The look up and see a "fighter". To the general public's uninformed eye, it matters not if there a T (trainer) or F (fighter) in front of the numbers. My .02

Thanks so much!!
I have zero frame of reference, so I could guess, but it would be totally uneducated.
Glad to hear the activity is abnormal; that means things are likely happening...!!! :-D
