Anyone saying it doesn't know what they are talking about. Even President Lincoln didn't hand his authority over during the Civil War.

No where in the Constitution is this provided for. Now he can use the military to suspend the Writ of Habeus Corpus. He has the 14th Amendment.

It's much more realistic to believe Pompeo would end up president for a time than the military.
