Idk, if Pence is on our side could that be entrapment? Won’t they say “I was going to object but VP Pence went the other way so I just followed his lead”.

No, not at all. Entrapment has absolutely no relevance here. Their constitutional oath doesn't go away merely because someone else says they plan to do something.
