I’m relatively new to all of this and I also have the same question. Why would Q bother dropping any sort of hints for us? Why not keep it completely under wraps and surprise us all? What is our role in it?

We don't know the real "plan". We only know how to awaken others.

This is a very east asian war tactic. It's almost Buddhist in approach. You only will know, what you know, but it will be enough.
