If there are uncanny prophecies about the left, how would it not be meant to fuck us up?

The only reason that I haven’t seen is an impending doom ie. Asteroid impact or something. Turn everyone on everyone then bug out to their bunker while we all die. Not saying this is what I believe but just a possible reason one would do this.
