I was young and dumb, but I called this out at the time as well. This was around the time of S_Hook and B_Marathon, when the term "Fake News" first surfaced online, as well as knowledge of C_Actors. I always figured it was patriots working from the inside who were making those videos for us because they were mind-blowing. In the first month, there was surveillance footage of the marathon showing the supposed victims with blown off limbs posing for Fake News photos, walking around, chatting it up, and then posing some more—they were scrubbed and never resurfaced. So yeah, this information war has been going on for a while.
