I'm pretty much 100% estranged from my family and I have few friends. I'm surrounded by lefties though so I understand how frustrating it is to see people that seem like they're in a trance. It'd be worse if it was friends and family of course.

I know smart, kind-hearted people who are totally brainwashed. I've seen low-info people who are very passionate about what they believe (or what they're programmed to believe). I've seen seemingly calm people become instantly angry with me when I offered a different opinion than the norm. We live in crazy times.
