7.7 million in Washington State. Over 500k outages is sorta big. Don't forget 7.7 million is the total number. Now each one of those 500k plus outages can effect many more than 1 person. Imagine a apartment building housing. All the tenants living in the building. How many people to a house, etc you get the picture.

The number of people losing power, from poweroutage.us, is increasing by the thousands over about 5 minutes. If it is the weather, that sucks. I am in south central washington. I haven't been affected. Also, keep in mind that site doesn't cover ALL PUD companies.
