If JFK Jr. is alive, he has had to assume a new identity. He was officially declared dead - and as much as it sounds like something out of The Mikado - that is sufficient to consider him dead in many respects. Presumably the IRS isn't taxing a person it knows as JFK Jr., for one thing.
