Ok, so I have been thinking about this a lot and it has always seemed funny to me that "Pompeo" is so close to "Pompey" considering the irony of this story seemingly being a redux of Caesar "crossing the Rubicon".
Shouldn't they be on opposite sides of this war?
Unless... This is them purposefully rewriting the Roman narrative; that Caesar and Pompey work TOGETHER to clean out the corruption of the Senate and hand the Republic back to the people, preventing the rise of the Empire to begin with.
If Trump willingly ceded (trusts) his power to Pompeo in the way Caesar never did with Pompey, then maybe the whole mess of the Triumvirate could be avoided.
[they] won't accept Pompeo, either because he's a "Trump guy." They've drawn their ljne in the sand, just like we have. This is up to God, now.
