You are 100% correct. The same thing that makes Antifa/BLM non-threatening to anyone that is used to armed conflicts is the same thing that makes them threatening to general citizens (which is why they should be a terror org) - it's that they are stupid and mentally malleable. They actually don't know their own beliefs so it's easy to re-shape their beliefs because they are stuck in 'groupthink'. That lends itself to mob-mentality as well.

Likewise, mob-mentality is dangerous because normal citizens get caught in it and they get hurt, sometimes even death, however, have you see how quickly their mob disperses when met with even a little bit of force???

Middle Eastern rioters probably laugh their ass off at Antifa because those dudes take shots from an AK and keep marching forward if it was not a vital organ shot. Therein lies the difference in being willing to die for what you fight for and 'not knowing exactly what you are fighting for'.
