If some people mob together capitol police should be able to handle it. 20K troops for a couple hundred protesters doesn't make sense.

If the group on the 6th wanted to they would took over entire capitol now add guns to the equation capitol police have no chance . You would need thousands of NG to quell an armed rebellion dude
