Why would speaker give away duties three days in a row yet show up for debate & vote? Has this ever happened before? Her appearance, especially left eye, is very different today
..."a Democratic Member who is indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed would "cease to exercise the powers of chairman or ranking minority member and shall step aside.... "6 In 2005, the Democratic Caucus adopted a provision requiring a member of the Democratic leadership of the House to step aside temporarily when they have been indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed."
This is purely my own speculation. But I am guessing it is so they cannot mess anything up during the rest of their remaining 2 year term.
If a committee head was pushing for and got something passed. Them committing an egregious felony could really put into question the legitimacy of that legislation.
It also sounded like she had some kind of digitizer on her voice. I heard an autotune kind of artefact at about a minute and a half into the speech. Her mask was unusually large and her eyes looked even weirder than usual. And that says a lot.
I thought it was just me. Doesn't she usually take the mask off to speak? Seemed unusually muffled as well
I thought her mask was comically large.
That’s to accommodate the gin flask bladder.

Democrat Party rules say if you are indicted of a crime where the punishment is > 2 years, you have to give up committee chair positions.

I find this rule FASCINATING
The two year cutoff is interesting as well. Why not the standard one year for a felony? They gave themselves a little extra leeway.

I wonder if she got the vaccine shot and had a reaction to it. Look at her face/eyes.
