Any LOTR fans here? In The Hobbit, there was a scene where an army of goblins had Thorin and the dwarves surrounded and overwhelmed. It looked like a done deal, but then Gandalf appeared and kicked major ass. Why was Gandalf successful against an army of goblins? He was designed to be the embodiment of justice, piety and bravery. He is the epitome of an incorruptible commander.
