I respectfully disagree - I think the world can handle seeing the corruption, I think the world cannot handle seeing the corruption go unpunished. I think you’re right with the riots and devastation if the perpetrators are allowed to walk free - but if they are arrested, publicly, tried (either in civilian or military courts) publicly, and justice is served, publicly, then the world would be stunned but would accept it.
