I'm not saying refuse to uncover the truth, I'm saying certain people are far more equipped to handle the psychological horrors that may be unleashed by literally digging and seeing the aftermath first hand. Knowing, witnessing digitally, and witnessing personally are all different levels. Knowing what happened is bad enough for some people. Didn't several people commit suicide from the trauma of seeing the less-than-legal content on Wiener's laptop? I could be remembering wrong, if so fact-check me please.
