"We take all these slings and arrows for you... so that you can have your country back."
It's true, the influx of so many new users—and hidden among them, the shills, tards, griefers, and other assholes—has increased the workload and added to the stress of our users. Clearly, GA isn't the hidden little research gem we once were, where researchers and decoders could go about their work undisturbed. The mod team regrets that. But that influx has also amplified the workload on the mod team exponentially. As you've seen, we've added mods to handle things, and we're managing to keep our noses above water. BUT—
As crazy as it sounds, this is what we wanted. We need to view these things not as problems, but as opportunities. Our mission has always been to break through into mainstream consciousness. The old days are gone. This is what it looks like. WE ARE THE NEWS, NOW.
The mod team needs you. This is what YOU have been training for. There are no magic switches or buttons or subtle tweaks to the sidebar (you've seen the absolute comedy that last week was, with us trying to enforce the sidebar) that will fix things. We need YOU. Use the deport button ONLY for sidebar violations. Please don't use it if you disagree with someone.
The habbenings are habbening right in front of us. THIS IS IT. We need you guys, the most experienced and ready to go warriors. Put on the full armor of God. Be the autists we know you are. Together we will win—but we need you. The mods can only do so much.
Im for example new here, but im totally on the side of the good guys, if you would put the 1 month minimum thing i wouldnt even be here, i left R/conspiracy because you need a 4 month old account to communicate there.
(also because of the massive about of enemies and NPC's)
In my opinion, 7 days no-talk for all newly registered users is fine, to remove the spam bots or just random trolls tryng to throw some random bullshit and then just delete their account and make a new one.
