It’s obvious the sfx are only seen on a large screen that combines a camera of the people standing/kneeling in that specific area. That’s why everyone is looking up at the screen to see how they interact with the cgi. Also why the guy filming on his phone is pointed at the screen because the cgi only shows up on there.
