This is what I have been telling myself for months. I was never meant to be in the trenches of Social Media, I'm not a master memesmith, I am tasked with helping others sort through the aftermath of all this.

I'm w9rking on a rough draft of a letter that I'm going to distribute to my neighbors if certain conditions are met (powergrid failure, internet killswitch, nationwide Martial Law, BIG stuff like that).

In this letter I explain that, while I don't know exactly what is happening, I want to make sure that my neghbors are safe. I encourage people to check on each other. Share resources, supplies, and skills, if necessary.

I also recommend a neighborhood meeting to set up a temporary community watch group to ensure that no one is able to take advantage of the current circumstances.

Gonna end with something like "we can't control what happens on the national stage, but we can commit to ourselves and each other that we will do everything in our power to keep ourselves, our families, and our neighbors safe from harm during the uncertain times."

I encourage anyone who reads this to ask themselves if they are willing to step up and be a beacon of hope and calm in the Storm that we all believe is coming.
