"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor' and 'Hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven."
I am not an expert on the Bible and am the first to admit that. But I do know that Jesus taught us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
But He also said that if you do not own a sword to sell your coat and buy one....like right before the ascension. We were never directed to be passive doormats, we have biblical stewardship over the blessings/talents we are given, one of which is our republic that protects our God given freedoms...
Do not mistake empathy and understanding for lack of grit. If any of us were born in Afghanistan we might've grown to be muslim extremists. I can have empathy for the human condition. I still think muslim extremists deserve to be prosecuted and face penalty for their crimes.
This. Do not be a victim
