If your answer is getting angry, insulting me or saying to me "Trust the plan" you have a serious issue.
I'm not saying you should completely discard this thing you believe in but this is according to you, not a religion so what is your contingency plan in case nothing happens and Biden is made president?
Smart people prepare for everything, that's it what I am going for with this, like I said, if you want to believe in this thing it's fine, as long as you are acting as a rational person and preparing for every possible scenario and not just sitting there having blind faith like a cult.
Just picture the scenario in which nothing happens, if you put all your eggs (resources) into this you would be MASSIVELY disappointed, hell some people maybe even commit suicide or let themselves rot in depression, who knows, it is just not healthy and not smart.
What I am doing is stop using big tech, ditching everything related to big tech, if Trump is not president again I am ditching the Republican party completely and Trump, why Trump?, because he clearly just gave up if he losses, also ditching all those "lawyers" Lin, Sydney, Rudy etc. Also going to make sure I will not vote for any of the Republicans that voted for the impeach of Trump. I am also considering infiltrating the Democrat party and destroying them from the inside, I am going to pretend I am a democrat and a leftie and will pretend I care about their ideologies but bit by bit I will start getting in their heads just like they did to us, clearly people are not going to go out and wage war since obviously even with weapons most people are cowards so my best bet is just to play the infiltration game. I will not give up, I will find a way to destroy them, I hope you all people are right about this but if not, then: "I got a god damn plan!"
A better description of defeatism I have not been able to read.
Hat tip!
I guess that is the meaning of precipice.
I don't agree with your assessment. Whilst it's grim, there are still an awful lot of actions that can be taken to resist, legally, and without violence.
The first step either way is organizing.
As a computer dude, I can tell you that the Algorithms are nowhere near impenetrable. Their strength is that the data collected can be directed and used against individuals. The response to algorithms is to gum up the algorithms and to insulate yourself technologically (see Butterfly Warfare for how people are already making coordinated efforts to totally wreck the algorithms). The response to them targeting people is, again, to organize - 10 people standing up and publicly refusing their control is easily put down by targeted digital blasting. 1000+ overwhelms their system. Where one of us would get shut down, a hundred more need to rise in their place.
We have the numeric advantage; this election has proven that. We also have people with a wide diversity of talents and experience.
With failed voting, the response(s) are to gradually usurp the ability to enforce the bogus laws. Just an example; if every Trump supporter refused to pay taxes, they likely would be screwed. Some, in particular, the first ones to resist, would be hit very hard; examples would be made out of them. If we take that and turn that into a martyrdom, however, which would ultimately help the cause more than hurt it.
Organization is hard to do in this day and age, but it isn't even remotely impossible. I made a post a little while back detailing what I thought should be done (developing and coordinating teams of patriots, largely separate from each other (redundancy in case of compromise of one team or one communications mode, etc.) with leaders that communicate at a state level, with state leaders that communicate at a national level, creating a national hierarchy accessed only by specific people, insulating the network), and I was directed to some organizations which i am currently looking into, but it seemed as though the majority are not quite ready for that yet, which is disappointing. I also am not sure how I feel about those other groups, as one had a paywall and the other had more of a focus on 2A type stuff, both of which I think are the wrong approach to this entire situation.
In general, something like this should be as decentralized as possible; that way, if one segment is taken down or compromised, it doesn't yield the exposure of everyone's sensitive information (like what happened with Parler).
I digress; the most important thing of all in my opinion is to remain peaceful as much as possible. Peace is accessible and forces the overbearing government into a really bad position.
Don't just take it from me; take it from one of the most overall successful peaceful agents of change in American history - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. You likely already have, but I cannot recommend re-reading his letter from Birmingham Jail enough. We are actually in a much better position to effect change than he was at the time, believe it or not. We have the majority (by a lot); we have a lot more resources, and we still (officially at least) have our relatively equal rights.
Another thing - very few violent revolutions result in positive outcomes. Most ultimately get under the control of the most forceful people; the very people that then go on to put in dictatorial governments themselves. Violence is never the first answer; it should almost always be the last answer. Peace tends to be a lot more effective.
Or I can pretend I am one of them, it is pretty smart and it is not like I would still be voting for Republicans or Trump himself, nope and I will commit to becoming a democrat.
Your solution is to become one of the npcs in 1984? Participating in your 4 minutes hate and making sure not to engage in double plus ungood thoughtcrime? No thanks for me
There is a way, they can't control you completely, you are always incontrol of yourself.
