Have you seen him without the beard recently (like in the new Bill and Ted movie)? He has aged a lot. The beard hides it.

Michael Douglas is similar. He looks ancient when he's clean-shaven, but looks 10-15 years younger when he grows a beard for the Ant-Man movies.
