Was Nixon and Ford swamp?

Don't know much about politics pre Reagan (or even pre Bush tbh), were these two swamp? I know JFK cheated Nixon out of the presidency the first time but did Nixon eventually fall into swamp?

EVERY president since Hoover has been appointed or controlled by the deep state, with the exception of JFK right before he was removed and Trump.

i would argue that eisenhower was a maverick. imo he ran for office to piss truman off. media regarded him as a simpleton at the time.
