Do you have suggestions for the best non-perishable meals/food to buy?? Most of what my husband and I eat is refrigerated/frozen so I want to stock up tomorrow just in case
Just my experience from living in Florida and dealing with hurricanes - bottled water/a good water filter is invaluable.
Assume you will not have electricity - no refrigeration/freezing and no microwave. Canned vegetables and soups. Bars. If you have a grill or firepit you can boil water on, dry rice and beans can also be good.
Was it specifically for the next ten days or for ten days starting on a specific date? Also, context a bit.
You should always have at least ten days of food. Get it if you don't, regardless.
Down in hurricane country, that you wouldn't have a few weeks of food on hand would be completely baffling. We always have that.
