Matt Gaetz tweeted https://mobile.twitter.com/mattgaetz/status/1202334061504716801 that is is possible in Dec 2019, Bannon was saying on War Room earlier this week that they could hold the trial after.

Former President's are hardly just "civilians" after the leave office, given they maintain Secret Service, special tax perks, etc. These are the things and reasons they would try to take this up, however stupid, unprecedented or unnecessary it may seem.

None of these semantics matter tho, since the plan is moving and they won't have the opportunity to even try such a thing
