Am I missing it, or is something missing?

In the intensive, overpowering preparations in DC, I have not seen any sonic or microwave area denial weapons deployed. Would that not be the 21st century version of fire hoses in a massive crowd control operation?

I read somewhere where Trump said he would be leaving DC hours before the "inauguration" and Ivanka plans on attending. Just optics for the DS? I can't imagine Ivanka being put into physical danger.
