Sub-hunters been hot the last few days. I watched a ton of activity the other day near Cape Canaveral/Kennedy and had a friend on the ground in Cocoa Beach confirm...
And the fact that twice where the P8s were, they sent B52s straight from S. Dakota and the B52 stayed circling the waters for hours and then went back.
I have no idea what a B52 would be doing in coordination with a P8 but it has happened 2 days in a row near virginia beach.
Couldn’t the B52 deploy sonar guided bombs or something?
If they are actually hunting subs, and have air support, usually helo's, they would drop sonar-bouys
There's a myriad of things that a B52 could be armed with in a scenario like this, and I have no idea what any of those types of missions would entail.
Some of the weapons that they are using recently would make people's heads flip around.
The technology really is way ahead of everywhere else in the world.
DEWs (Directed Energy Weapons) appear to be designed as payloads for Tomahawk cruise missiles. Many people forget that B52s are excellent platforms for launching cruise missiles undetected from great range ... they carry quite a few (16+?), get up nice and high, and can loiter on station for a long time. Especially with the ridiculous number of refuelers in the air over CONUS recently.
A small EMP-laden Tomahawk could chase down and disable any water craft with zero risk ... the Coast Guard stays a couple miles out of the blast range and then motors on in for the "rescue". They can even make it look to the public like the rich Pedophile took off for a sudden pleasure-cruise (high-speed), had a mal-function, and thankfully, our wonderfully diligent CG was there to assist and tow them back to shore (with the preps' ankle monitors carefully hidden) ...
