NOTE: 8800+ mile range (without refueling) + cruse missile range of 650 miles, and many are based out of Shreveport, LA ... you pretty much only need 1 to loiter around Nebraska/Kansas, make a wide turn when the P3s / P8s confirm a boatful of Pedos trying to run, fire a pot-shot and return to station.

Have a second one on the tarmac ready so that you have 24-hr cover (2x 12hr shifts) ... or if you have a coordinated effort to make a run from both coasts at the same time, scramble the stand-by bird for brief support activity. I'd bet every time we see them both up over the past month, this is what's been happening. And every time they disappear off the transponder scope, is probably when they are getting ready to shoot.
