That stuff is probably not the treason part. It just means he'll go to jail for a long time.

That's probably what they deserve, but treason is giving aid and comfort to the enemy or attacking your own country. We are not currently at war. If it's just the election stuff that's just jail time. If it's more stuff, I agree the penalties should be steeper.
