All of this attention of the NG in DC has reminded me of all the press the Marines got practicing beach landings for the first gulf war. The SEALs then ordered thousands of boogie boards, literally wiped out all the stock in California so they could attach landing lights to them. That diversion kept a lot of Saddam's forces tied up at the coat, then the bulk of our forces left hooked up from SA.
