It's like today might be your birthday, but it's not your birth date.
So "2018" is irrelevant.
The year dates don't always match. Future proves past and a few other things about Q mean that the year dates aren't set in stone.

Most of his post dates are translated 3 years to the right from what I understand. I.E. 2018=2021.
