I just had a crazy thought. What if we are being conditioned to wearing masks, not to stop a virus, but alpha and beta radiation from some type of nuclear event. A massive assembly of National Guardsmen in one place at one time? Pearl Harbor?

I'm sure, but it's a scary thought. If I wanted to hit my enemy I'd be sure to divide their attention and maximize my strike.
