Former GOP political operative? "Trust Sessions" comes to mind when I read this post.
Think its Michael Ellis. Gonna do some digging.
wiki: "Prior to his appointment to the Trump administration, Ellis was chief counsel to Rep. Devin Nunes and the Republican majority on the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence."
that is huge so this guy was working for the group that was investigating the muh-russia hoax and now hes just been put into the top lawyer spot for NSA? so like somebody who knows everything, basically?
from what wikipedia admits, this guy is rock solid
from wiki hard to believe they admit all this :
"Ellis served as the Senior Associate Counsel to the President and Deputy Legal Advisor to the National Security Council (NSC).[6] In March 2020 Ellis was appointed Senior Director for Intelligence on the NSC.[7][8] After Trump lost his bid for re-election in November 2020, Ellis was named general counsel of the National Security Agency, though he did not immediately assume the position and NSA director Paul Nakasone opposed the appointment.[9][10][4] The latter position was within the federal civil service, giving Ellis additional employment protections.[5] The placement was contentious given that a political operative was embedded into a career civilian position.[11] Four days before Trump left office in January 2021, acting defense secretary Christopher Miller ordered the NSA to install Ellis.[12] "
