Newp. Cloud Engineer here. Even if they did burn down this site, that is what redundant storage is for. I guarantee you this data must be backed up multiple times in multiple places with back ups of those back ups.

Did you not hear about the Nashville "bombing" on Christmas? A random guy parks an RV outside an AT&T datacenter and knocks out very specific routing equipment inside that had no backup, no redundant paths. The bomb barely scratched the outside of AT&T but it leveled the buildings across the street. It killed 911 and banking service for a lot of the middle of the county for about a week.
I don't believe it. They whatever sysops engineers that designed that place should be suicided. There are ways to transfer data across this country without using the internet at all.
But whatever, I've seen some dumb folks do dumb things in the past so...
The RV bomber story was complete BS. Nobody actually believes that is what happened. The media tried to tell us that a couple of critical switches were damaged in the building. You don't scratch the paint on a datacenter building and damage a specific piece of gear in a rack.
