The current one was commissioned in 2005, still active in the JMDSF. Did partol Somolian waters in 2009 for piracy, where the US did have a large presence as well. In regards to its relation to the USS Sterett, there are other photos of the Sterett at port with other ships in the JMSDF in 2016.
