At a minimum if it's a larp he's got a lot of good military lingo down.
The military I remember, someone would get court-martialed for this post.

My Nephew just came back from Army basic. Fort Jackson let them have their phones at all times. No PT, No marksmanship quals, just fam fires etc. It's quite scary how far the Army has fallen in the 8 years I've been out.
They are creating children so they can win the next war against us. Sad, enemies within. Senior members just Roger up now. Most real jobs are contracted out. USA still has capabilities, but it's not the military.
I highly fucking doubt that, and if it did happen it was for a non-combat m.o.s. Do you really think combat related go through the same basic training as a cook or laundry specialist? They are twice as long for a reason.
I finished basic in 2016 at Fort Sill. No phones, lots of PT(and random smokings), combatives, marksmanship quals, no stress cards...things really change like that in just 5 years?
No PT? No quals?
