I love my parents but they are the same. I haven't even BROUGHT UP Q. They couldn't even bring themselves to look at election fraud evidence. When I visit them, it makes me sad to see how scared they get watching the news.
Same here. I think it gets to older people more, because they grew up in a time where tv news anchors were the most trusted people around. My mom lives in perpetual fear of Covid and thinks Trump is a Russian agent. It’s a damn shame and these people need to be held accountable for what they have done to people.
Absolutely! I grew up in a lefty household where NPR was on all day (I mean ALL DAY) and my parents can't shake their belief in the media. They are smart people, I just think following leftist news outlets and "learning the facts" is now part of their ego-ideal. My Dad has started to go a bit rogue and will dip into Quillete (not as edgy as they used to be) and Jordan Peterson but at the end of the day, he still subscribes to and believes in The New York Times.
My mom has TOTAL TDS though and is just terrified of COVID. Very sad.
He's seen them. He has cognitive dissonance. He understands when the Times is being unreasonable about some things (things he likes and already accepts like Peterson) but cannot IMAGINE them being unreasonable about election fraud.

I’ve noticed my dad, who was born in the 40s, has a hard time telling the difference between scam emails/messages and legitimate communication.
I think that generation didn’t grow up with that style of communication and their brains have been set up for an analogue world.
I think it relates to the MSM because older generations are used to being fed info instead of searching it out & researching.
We have each other to bounce off one another and verify what’s reality. If one doesn’t have that anyone could get lost in the ocean of disinfo.

Opposite situation here. Kids and their fams are the fragile ones, yet they think I'm the nutter, kek
